MW- Hi Kim! Christmas adventures arrives at VH1 tonight at 9 p.m. and you take on the triple duty as star, executive producer and co-writer. What was the inspiration behind setting up this project?

KF- Well, I co-wrote the story from the genesis of I love how adventure and survival shows all have that element of people wanting to be pushed to their limits. Even though they all seem comfortable in these environments, they are still pushing each other. So I thought, well, what if you’re not comfortable?

You are catapulted out of your comfort zone and what does it look like? So you have a lot of adventures. You have a lot of rom com elements, but you also have some danger. You also have that element of the unknown and the process of not being afraid of the unknown.

MW- Was it difficult to balance all these different roles?

KF- Well you know the pre-production process was very important to me because that’s where all the decisions had to be made. This is where all the creative energy had to go, for me as a producer and as a co-creator of the story. When the time came for me to act, I had to be 100% present in it.

MW- The movie also stars Kel Mitchell, Eva Marcille, Jonathan Silverman, how awesome was it working with that cast?

KF- Working with this cast was amazing. To be joined by Jonathan Silverman, of whom I have been a fan for so long, and his comedy. Eva was wonderful, she brings such a great layer of that girlfriend best friend vibe. Kel Mitchell plays my brother, and I have stories with all of them. It was really fun to be able to interact with them and work with them again on such a special project.

MW- Obviously this project is very close and dear to you, what do you hope people will take away from this film?

KF- Hope people will remember this, it will be the same as Parker Baldwin my character ultimately does, get out of your comfort zone; it’s good. Don’t be afraid of the unknown. When you accept it and go through this process and come to the other side, it’s so liberating. It’s so inspiring and empowering.

You don’t need a big adventure like a helicopter ride and a fall in a river and encounters in nature and things like that to be the catalyst, sometimes life will throw its own catalyst at you to start this adventure. for you. We are in these unprecedented times as they say and so it is perhaps the catalyst that pushes you on this adventure of life.

Don’t be afraid of the dark. These are the things that I really hope are the gifts this movie can give this holiday season.

MW- Wise words for sure. Thanks so much for the time today Kim and all the best! time today.

KF- Thank you take care of yourself.
