On Wednesday, Netflix shared an intriguing announcement video of Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming Khufiya and left the audience excited. Now with another interesting short video, the makers have announced the release date of the film. In the video, Tabu can be seen watching security footage in which she sees a man printing something. The video ends with a print with the text “Khufiya, Top Secret, October 5, 2023”. The spy thriller is set to release on OTT platform Netflix on October 5.

This film is inspired by true events and is based on a book, Escape to Nowhere, written by the former head of the R&AW counterintelligence unit, Amar Bhushan. The film takes viewers on a gripping journey into the mysterious world of love, betrayal and everything about Khufiya.
The film was written by Vishal Bhardwaj and Rohan Narula and produced by Vishal Bhardwaj Films. Apart from Tabu, Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi, the film also stars Ashish Vidyarthi, Azmeri Haque Badhon and Alexx O’Nell in key roles.
Vishal Bhardwaj recently produced Charlie Chopra with Wamiqa Gabbi and Kuttey with Tabu. Khufiya therefore marks the second collaboration of the actor and the director. He is also known for producing films like Haider, 7 Khoon Maaf, Ek Thi Dayan, etc. Meanwhile, on the work front, Tabu was last seen in the film Bholaa which also starred Ajay Devgn and Ali Fazal in Kandahar.
