Khloé Kardashian shared “unedited and unfiltered” videos of her body with her followers on social media as well as a lengthy note on body positivity after an unauthorized bikini photo was uploaded.
In one clip, the 36-year-old reality TV star wears only underwear as she films herself in front of a mirror. In a second video, she lifts her sweatshirt to show off her flat, toned stomach.
The videos came in response to the Kardashian team requesting that the photos be removed from social media which apparently showed her without makeup and in a bikini.
The mother-of-one said in an Instagram post on Wednesday that she thought the photo was “beautiful,” but told her followers she had every right to ask for an unflattering photo that “doesn’t capture your body as it is “. to be shared with the world.
“In truth, the constant pressure, ridicule, and judgment in my entire life to be perfect and to meet other people’s standards of my appearance have been too much to take,” she wrote.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star went on to list some of the nasty comments that have been made about her appearance: ““ Khloé is the fat sister. ”“ Khloé is the naughty sister. mustn’t be her real dad because she looks so different. “The only way she could have lost that weight had to be through surgery.”
Kardashian has often said that people reject her feelings because she comes from a privileged life and is on a reality show.
“Of course I am not asking for sympathy but I am asking to be recognized for being human,” she said. “I am not perfect but I promise you that I try every day to live my life as honestly as possible and with empathy and kindness.”
She said it was “almost unbearable” to live up to the standards that the public imposed on her.
“For over a decade now in photos, every flaw and imperfection has been micro-analyzed and made fun of in great detail and I remember them everyday by the world. And I take this review as a motivation to find myself in the best shape of my life and even to help others with the same difficulties I am told that I could not have done it through hard work and that I had to pay everything, ”she wrote on Instagram.
“You never really get used to being judged and set aside and being told how unattractive this one is, but I’ll say if you hear something enough you start to believe it.” I am not pretty enough just as I am. “
Kardashian ended her post by offering words of encouragement to those who may be feeling the same pressure: “Just make yourself and make sure your heart is happy.”
