Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans unveil ‘Pledge to America’ program

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and House Republicans will introduce the Commitment to America program on Friday.

McCarthy and 30 House Republicans across the spectrum will present their legislative agenda ahead of the crucial 2022 midterm elections.

“We’re going to launch it tomorrow Friday in Washington, Washington County, not Washington, DC, where the real Americans are,” McCarthy said in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News.

“What it is is a plan to get America back on track. It’s a commitment to America where for the past year and a half all Republican members have been on different task forces who work on solutions to problems.

“We really break it down into four pillars: a strong economy, a secure nation, a future based on freedom, and responsible government,” McCarthy continued.

“Under each pillar, we lay out what we are going to do. In a strong economy, we will stop this spending spree and curb this inflation. We will do [the country] independent of energy and bring down the price of gas. We will bring the supply chain back from China to America. In a safe country, the first thing we’re going to do is secure our border and stop this catch and release and stop this fentanyl coming through. We’re going to be able to have 200,000 more police officers and the other thing we’re going to be able to do is those prosecutors and prosecutors who haven’t enforced the law, we’re going to shed some light on that and bring out a chart transparency so everyone knows where we stand. Of course, we will defend our national security.
