Kellan Lutz’s wife, Brittany Gonzales, gave birth to their second child, a baby boy named Kasen, on August 10.
“We are in love and enjoy every baby cuddle,” the couple said in a joint statement on Instagram on Monday.
“Ashtyn loves her baby brother, Koda is the sweetest, sweetest big sister ever, and mom and baby are doing great,” they added. “This big boy eats around the clock and prepares to be built like Hercules like his daddy.”
The duo announced in February that their one-year-old daughter Ashtyn had a younger brother on the way.
“Two under 2 in 2022 🙌😍,” Lutz, 37, captioned an Instagram video of Gonzales, 34, sending her a calendar invite for her due date.
“God is good!” the “Twilight” star went on at the time. “Babies are the best!” Love you forever and always @brittanylynnlutz.
Gonzales posted the footage to his own account, writing, “Some might say we’re crazy, we say we’re crazy BLESSED.”
Two weeks later, the couple received a piñata to find out the gender of their second bundle of joy. It was filled with pink and blue confetti, but counting the pieces revealed that blue dominated.
“Kellan really put me on a roller coaster with this one,” the then-pregnant model joked.
Gonzales and Lutz celebrated their daughter’s 1st birthday later in February, marking her birthday with a sunflower-themed party.
Ashtyn was the duo’s rainbow baby, as they had already suffered a pregnancy loss at six months.
“The day she came into the world it was snowing, raining and freezing, but that night she was born and we woke up to sunshine, clear skies and melting winter,” said the new mom to her Instagram followers last year. “It was so symbolic considering [February 2020] was literally winter for our souls only to encounter the brightest sun a year later.
While carrying Ashtyn was a “dream” pregnancy, Gonzales struggled before welcoming her son.
“This pregnancy has been physically a lot harder on my body,” she shared in a May baby update. “It teaches me to slow down and prepares me for what’s to come.”
Gonzales noted that she and the “FBI: Most Wanted” alum might not want more kids, adding, “I try to enjoy every moment.”
