FIRST ON FOX: Kathy Barnette, a rising Republican candidate in the Pennsylvania Senate primary competing against Trump-backed Mehmet Oz and former Treasury Undersecretary David McCormick, will get a multimillion-dollar boost from the pro-life group Susan B. Anthony List (SBA List) and her super PAC partner, Women Speak Out PAC.
SBA List — which endorsed Barnette on Monday — is set to launch a $2.3 million digital ad campaign in Pennsylvania to support the nominee, who is a veteran and author. The ad is expected to pit Barnette against John Fetterman, the presumptive Democratic nominee.

“Fetterman can’t name a single limit to abortion he supports and even calls abortion ‘sacred,'” Dannenfelser added, quoting a tweet in which Fetterman wrote: “Abortion right is sacred “.
“At a pivotal time in life, Pennsylvanians deserve a senator who will stand up for their values and not betray them to the benefit of the abortion lobby,” the SBA List chairman added. “That’s why we’re thrilled to support a pro-life champion like Kathy Barnette and urge Republican primary voters to support her next week.”
In the statement, Dannenfelser also said his ground crew visited more than 200,000 homes of Keystone State voters “to inform them of the stakes in this year’s election and the importance of voting pro-life.”
“Barnette will fight abortion at the request of Democrats through the birthing agenda,” the ad reads.
GOP SENATE CANDIDATE KATHY BARNETTE REVEALS SHE WAS THE PRODUCT OF RAPE IN PENNSYLVANIA DEBATE
Following the unprecedented leak of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion quashing Roe v. Wade (1973) – an opinion which does not necessarily reflect the current position of the Court and is not definitive – Congressional Democrats rushed to defend the Women’s Health Protection Act, a bill to codify the right to abortion. This bill would protect abortion during the nine months of pregnancy.
Barnette has emerged as a major contender in recent weeks, even shooting with Oz and McCormick. The latest Fox News poll had the three tied statistically, with Oz ahead at 22%, McCormick second at 20% and Barnette just behind at 19%. Another 18% of likely primary voters said they remained undecided. In March, Barnette trailed McCormick (24%) and Oz (15%) at just 9%.
During a pivotal debate last Tuesday, Barnette opened up about her personal story of being conceived through rape.
“I am the byproduct of a rape,” Barnette said. “My mom was 11 when I was conceived. My dad was 21. I wasn’t just a bunch of cells. As you can see, I’m still not just a bunch of cells. My life has value.”

The other Republican candidates have also run on pro-life platforms, though Barnette, McCormick and others attacked Oz for supporting abortion in a 2019 interview on “The Breakfast Club.” Contrary to his remarks in that interview, Oz said during the debate that he believes life begins at conception.
Pennsylvania Republicans will choose their candidate on May 18.
