Kanye West launched Twitter again — RT Games & Culture

Kanye “Ye” West’s Twitter account was suspended again on Thursday after the artist and failed 2020 US presidential candidate posted an image of the Star of David intertwined with a swastika.

Owner Elon Musk, who reinstated West’s profile on free speech grounds after his suspension in early October, said he didn’t appreciate the way the rapper used his platform. Along with posting the controversial image, West also posted an unflattering photo of Musk.

“Its good,” Musk said of the image of himself, which West said would be his last on Twitter. “It’s not,” he said of the other tweet.

“I did my best. Despite this, he again violated our rule against incitement to violence,” Musk remarked.

West’s initial suspension concerned a tweet, in which he cryptically announced that he was going “Death con 3 on the Jewish people”, which provoked a massive reaction and accusations of anti-Semitism.

This week, West appeared on conspiratorial political commentator Alex Jones’ show and made a number of remarks, which appeared to support the charges against him. He said he loved Adolf Hitler, to whom he attributed “inventing the highway” and the microphone, and Nazis in general.

“Every human being has something of value they brought to the table, especially Hitler,” West said.

Twitter had deleted the tweet featuring a swastika inside the Star of David hours before West’s entire account was frozen. The combination of the two symbols has been used by the Raelian Movement, which focuses on extraterrestrial life. Bearing a striking resemblance to the image West tweeted, it supposedly represents space and time. Another variation was introduced in the 1990s, replacing the swastika with a swirling shape.

Before West’s account was suspended, he also declared his support for fashion brand Balenciaga, which is accused of using sexually suggestive images of children in an advertising campaign. His other tweets included condemnations of pornography, appeals to Jesus and hints at another presidential campaign in 2024. The image that resulted in his account being suspended was captioned “YE24 LOVE EVERYONE #LOVESPEECH.”

The embattled entertainer has previously spoken openly about his mental health struggles and a diagnosis of bipolar disorder.

Musk, who many critics accuse of having a fragile ego, stressed that he took no offense at the shirtless photo of himself West posted. It was one of many taken as the entrepreneur partied with Hollywood mogul Ari Emanuel on a yacht off the Greek island of Mykonos this summer. Musk claimed the photos helped him resolve to lose weight.
