LAKE FOREST, Illinois (CBS) – Allen Robinson, Cole Kmet and Marquise Goodwin were among those missing in Bears training Wednesday, but Justin Fields was back.
But while Fields was on the training ground, head coach Matt Nagy said Andy Dalton got the starting reps. It is not yet known whether Fields will be able to return from his cracked ribs to play against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

“We have to make sure he’s medically safe. It’s important for him to keep his momentum going in the last two games, ”said Nagy. “The last two games he’s had times where you can feel him growing up. It’s part of life to play a quarterback in this league. ”

In defense, injuries to key players continue to pile up. It looks like Christian Jones will have to replace Roquan Smith, who did not train after injuring his hamstring against Detroit.
“I just have to go and be myself; do my job, ”Jones said. “Ro is a dynamic. Could not replace it. Just do your part. We train a lot together.

Jones laughed as he spoke of his draw, when he chose to postpone after the Lions had already done so. He said he hadn’t really heard from the official, but was happy to entertain people on Thanksgiving.
