Jude Bellingham was at the end of a painful tackle which saw his boot torn.
The Borussia Dortmund midfielder was challenged by Cologne’s Salih Ozcan but luckily wasn’t seriously injured.
The incident happened in the 52nd minute after receiving a pass from left-back Raphael Guerreiro.
Before he could take the ball, Liverpool’s transfer target was mowed down by the German midfielder.
While his ankle emerged relatively unscathed, Bellingham was keen to show the extent of the damage caused.
The 18-year-old’s reaction was one of extreme annoyance as he angrily threw the broken boot onto the turf.
The referee didn’t award a free kick to Dortmund, nor give a warning to Ozcan, who eventually received a yellow card later in the game.
As for the match itself, it was a disappointing result for the Bellingham side as they were held to a 1-1 draw.

He did, however, play a big part in the goal by producing a sensational pass from his own half to Marius Wolf.
The result puts them second in the Bundesliga, six points behind leaders Bayern Munich.
And the title rivals are set to face off on April 23 in a potentially title-clinching match.
