Fight promoter Josh Taylor vs. Jack Catterall admitted he was disgusted by the result rendered by the judges.
The fight went on for a long time and the judges awarded Taylor a split decision victory.
Many thought Catterall had done enough to upset the undisputed light-welterweight champion, but the judges had a different view and the scorecards showed 112-113, 114-111, 113-112 for Taylor.
BOXXER promoter Ben Shalom admitted he thought Catterall had the belts stolen.
He told talkSPORT’s Fight Night: “I’ve watched these decisions as a fan and to be a part of it is sickening. It was an amazing night.
“Hydro fans were special, it was a special atmosphere.
“What we saw tonight was historic Jack Catterall. He came, a 28 year old man from Chorley and waited two years for this to happen.
“He planned every day. I spoke to Jamie Moore all week, they had the perfect game plan and came and put on a masterclass against one of the pound for pound kings and they got all four belts stolen.

In a separate interview with Sky Sports, he admitted he was embarrassed to promote the event because of the decision.
talkSPORT host Adam Catterall was at ringside for the fight and scored it very differently and went on a fiery rant about how judges should be held accountable as they ‘destroy careers’ .
He said: “I scored that fight, and it’s incredibly conservative. You have to understand that I’m at ringside, I’m in the mood, it’s pro-Josh Taylor in this arena and everyone is screaming every time he throws a punch.
“When you’re a judge and you’re a professional, you have to take all of that into consideration, keep your head in a fridge and judge what you see.
“I scored that, and being pro-Josh Taylor, 114-111 in favor of Jack Catterall. We had a point deduction in there and there was also a knockdown.
“There are people at ringside who had it 115-110, some even had it wider saying they could only give the undisputed champion three rounds.
“Flight, I don’t use it much. There are rounds in there that are tight, it was an ugly fight to watch. It wasn’t the prettiest of fights, but the flight does him a disservice.
“This kid came in here, cut off an elite fighter’s ears, took him down, did a fantastic job. He lived with that for two years, had it back and forth, had to delay it because he gave Taylor the opportunity to unify the belts with Ramirez last year and for him to come here and that let it be done to him…this is one of the worst robberies I have seen up close and in person.
“This must be the point where the British Boxing Board of Control holds the judges accountable. You destroy people’s careers, you destroy people’s earning potential.
“What is Jack Catterall doing now?” Josh Taylor just came on TV and said ‘I’m gaining weight now, there’s no need for revenge’.
