Josh Moore: Jockey ‘more stabilized’ in hospital and considered for back surgery after Haydock fall | Race News

Josh Moore’s condition has been “more stabilized” in hospital and the jockey is now being considered for back surgery following his serious fall at Haydock.

Moore remains sedated on a ventilator in intensive care with treatment on a broken leg complicated and delayed by a “serious lung infection”.

Providing an update on the rider’s condition on Monday, the Injured Jockeys Fund said in a statement: “Josh’s condition has stabilized further today and, although he is still sedated on a ventilator in care intensive care at Aintree Hospital, he can now be considered for back surgery at the nearby Walton Centre.

“The Moore family is very grateful for the support and well wishes they have received from the industry during this difficult time.”
