Mourinho posted a few photos on his Instagram account after meeting the UFC icon in Rome.
McGregor received a shirt from Roma, where Mourinho currently manages.
The MMA superstar is a huge fan of Manchester United, a club the Special One managed from 2016 to 2018.
The 58-year-old wrote on Instagram: “Yes that’s him!
“Yes the great @thenotoriousmma is in Rome and yes it was a real pleasure to meet him, share some stories and give him the best shirt in town @officialasroma.
“He did a miracle, it’s impossible to say no to Conor, I had to try @properwhiskey.”
McGregor also posted: “Respect to this man. Legend.”
McGregor is in Italy as his son is baptized in the Vatican and has kept social media updated on his moves.
The UFC star even posed with the keys to the Vatican in a photo he posted online.
The 33-year-old is continuing his rehabilitation after suffering a horrific broken leg in his last fight.
His leg broke seconds before the end of the first round against Dustin Poirier in July and was unable to continue.
