News 19’s Weather Authority team is looking for weather watchers from all areas of the Tennessee Valley to join our private “Weather Watchers” Facebook group.

Here’s how it works:
Send email to wxwatchers@whnt.com with your name, address and telephone number.
The Meteorological Authority will select group members based on their location. Those selected will receive a Zoom link for a weather training course with Certified Chief Meteorologist Danielle Dozier and the Weather Authority team.
They will teach you how to accurately report rain and snow and spot storm clouds.
Once you have completed the training, you will become a member of the private Weather Watchers Facebook group and can send your reports and photos to the team.
NOTE: This is NOT a storm chasing class or group.
The Weather Watchers group is a support system for the Weather Authority to receive accurate and timely weather reports and images, especially during severe weather events.
