Heffield United midfielder John Fleck was released from hospital after collapsing on the pitch in Tuesday night’s win at Reading.
Fleck was taken by ambulance to the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, where Blades boss Slavisa Jokanovic confirmed after the match that he was conscious and was talking to medics.
The 30-year-old spent the night under observation and underwent “full medical examinations”, Sheffield United said, before being released on Wednesday.
Fleck will now return to Sheffield.
“United and John Fleck would like to thank everyone who helped out at a stressful time last night and also everyone for their messages of support,” Sheffield United said in a statement.
