Joel Greenberg, former county tax collector and associate of Congressman Matt Gaetz, signed a plea deal with the federal government that includes a clause stating that he “will cooperate fully with the United States in investigations and prosecutions against other people, “according to federal court records in Florida.

The U.S. District Court for the Central District of Florida in Orlando has scheduled a plea change hearing for Monday. Greenberg pleaded not guilty last month to charges of embezzlement and child sex trafficking.

Greenberg’s attorney, Fritz Scheller, had previously said Greenberg had to strike a deal by May 15.

CBS News has confirmed that the Greenberg investigation is what sparked an ongoing investigation into Gaetz. Federal investigators are investigating whether Gaetz had sex with a 17-year-old teenager. Gaetz insists he is innocent. His name is not mentioned in Greenberg’s plea deal.
