Joe Joyce will want revenge when he faces Zhilei Zhang in their rematch next weekend.

Joyce saw his unbeaten record ended in April, losing to the hard-hitting Zhang after the fight was stopped due to his horrific swollen eye.

“Juggernaut” immediately turned his attention to a rematch, activating the clause in his contract as he aims to regain his WBO interim heavyweight title.

Zhang’s size and power proved too much for the Briton last time out and he derailed his opponent’s plans to fight Tyson Fury or Oleksandr Usyk.

However, Joyce will look to put those plans back in place by regaining his momentum and status as number one challenger by returning to “Big Bang.”

This 12-round heavyweight rematch is scheduled for Saturday, September 23.

It will take place at the OVO Arena Wembley in London.

The card will begin from 6 p.m. and the main event ringwalks are expected from 10:30 p.m.

Joyce vs. Zhang 2: What was said?

Joyce told talkSPORT: “It’s difficult when you have a defeat and you have to rebuild and it’s been difficult.

“But I believe I can go back and reclaim it and I’m hungry to reclaim the title and my mandatory position.

“I don’t know if I’m excited but it’s something I have to do, it’s my job and I have to get back to work.

“I’ve worked really hard to get where I am and financially I’m in a good place, but I still want to follow this fight game.

“The journey isn’t over yet, it’s just a hurdle I have to overcome and I want to be heavyweight champion of the world.”
