Joe Biden removes his mask and coughs into his hand after close contact with COVID

President Joe Biden flouted coronavirus mask protocols on Tuesday after his wife Jill Biden tested positive for the virus.

The president was spotted removing his mask to deliver a speech and immediately coughed into his hand after shaking hands with Senator Chuck Schumer.

After First Lady Jill Biden tested positive for the virus on Monday evening, the White House said the president would wear a mask indoors for ten days when in “close proximity to others” because he was considered “in close contact” with the virus.

But the president failed to follow the protocols set out by his handlers.

After his speech, Biden sat down with members of Congress and shook hands before signing his climate and health care spending bill.

The president only put his mask back on after he signed the bill and got up to leave.
