Jodie Sweetin lost 37 pounds. in confinement in the midst of a “severe anxiety” struggle

“The pain and loss and death were horrific, but also the impact it had on our children, on our families, on our politics, on everything,” she continued. “I think it brought to the surface something that needed to be, but I also think it forever changed the course of our lives in a very, very complicated way.”

Despite her personal mental health issues, Sweetin said her family “had done well” to manage the quarantine.

“With the semi-soft sail that it was for us, I can’t imagine what the others are going through,” she said. “I think that kind of collective trauma and pain has really affected us, and I think it’s really going to affect people’s mental health in ways that we haven’t seen yet.”

Sweetin has spoken openly about his mental health issues in the past. In 2019, she marked World Mental Health Day by sharing a selfie which she described as “the photo of a mom who had a complete panic attack in the bathroom that day.”
