Jimmy Kimmel pays moving tribute to Bob Saget

Jimmy Kimmel broke down in tears as he paid a moving tribute to Bob Saget in a prerecorded monologue Monday night – calling the late actor and comedian “the sweetest man” who “always got a compliment.”

“Bob was the nicest. He was the nicest man, ”Kimmel said on his show, choking back tears. “I have so many wonderfully kind and supportive texts, emails and phone calls from Bob.

“He always had a compliment. He wrote to me sometimes just to tell me he loved me and I know he did it for a lot of people… He had something funny to say about everything and nothing bad to say about anyone. Never, ”said the Emmy Award-winning talk show host.

“He was so funny, and I’m not talking about ‘Full House’ or ‘America’s Funniest Home Videos’ or comedy or stand-up movies, I mean funny for real,” Kimmel continued.

“For example, when you walked into a party, you saw Bob and his wife, Kelly, around the corner, you go straight up to them and stay as long as you can. Because he had something funny to say about everything, and nothing bad to say about anyone. Never, ”he said.

“If there were people he didn’t like, he kept it to himself. He was – unlike me, he was a good person, ”he added.

The host then pulled out a copy of an email he had received from Saget, in which they were discussing their children.

“One night let’s go out and have some meat and some good drinks and talk about how lucky we are to have them,” he read in the post.

The housekeeper made the grim discovery when she entered her room at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando around 4 p.m. Sunday – an hour after the 65-year-old left, a source told People.

The official cause of Saget’s death has not yet been determined, but investigators said they found “no signs of foul play or drug use in this case.”
