Jim Irsay: Colts will have new HC in ‘days not hours’
The Indianapolis Colts need a new head coach, but it doesn’t look like owner Jim Irsay is in a rush to make a decision.
It’s been three months since Irsay fired Frank Reich after a 3-5-1 start and although he’s already had two rounds of interviews and seen several league vacancies filled – including Reich having the opportunity to redeem himself as the head coach of Carolina. Panthers – Indy still doesn’t have a head coach.
According to Irsay on Twitter, it also doesn’t look like a decision will come soon. There is an old adage when something is imminent that it will happen “within days or even hours”.
Irsay reversed that sentence, saying the Colts will have a final decision “in days, not hours.”
