HIGH RISK OF TEARING CURRENTS. Rip currents can carry even the best swimmers away from shore and into deeper water. Swim near a lifeguard. If you get caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don’t swim against the tide. If possible, swim following the shore. If you cannot escape, face the shore and call or signal for help.
SMALL CRAFTS NOTICE in effect until 6 a.m. Friday. Conditions will be dangerous for small boats. Inexperienced sailors, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid sailing in dangerous conditions.
