Jennifer Lopez shared details of exactly how her second engagement with Ben Affleck happened in her “On The JLo” newsletter.

“Saturday night, while I was in my favorite place on earth (in the bubble bath), my beautiful love got down on her knees and proposed,” Lopez began.

“I was caught totally off guard and just looked him in the eye smiling and crying at the same time trying to come to terms with the fact that after 20 years this was happening again I was literally speechless and he said, ‘Is that a yes?'”

The ‘Marry Me’ star went on to detail how she felt after saying yes to Affleck.

“I was smiling so big and tears were streaming down my face, feeling so incredibly happy and whole,” she began.

“It was nothing out of the ordinary, but it was the most romantic thing I could have imagined…just a quiet Saturday night at home, two people promising each other that they would always be there for each other. each other. Two very lucky people. A second chance at true love.”

Lopez broke the news in a short video posted to her website in which she admired her diamond accessory, whispering, “You look perfect.”

Lopez, 52, teased the video earlier on social media. In a video message titled “Major Announcement,” she said, “So I have a really exciting and special story to share.” She laughed before urging fans to head to her website for the news.
