Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville joked about the dual roles of Micah Richards and Roy Keane when the couple aired the hilarious latest episode of the couple’s “Road to Wembley” series.
The pair’s ever-flourishing bromance is the gift that continues to give and has allowed Keane to open up like never before, with the Irishman even admitting to having eaten a doner kebab before a Manchester United game.
They shook up Carragher and Neville, however, who have been the top duo on Sky Sports in recent years – with their Monday Night Football analysis proving to be still popular.
Neville joined Keane, his former Manchester United team-mate, and Richard for the final episode of their series, documenting their trip to Wembley before the Euro.
When Richards said they were going to get a special guest, Keane joked, “He’s not my old mate Haaland, is he?”
This was in reference to Keane’s rivalry with Alf-Inge Haaland, the former City midfielder and father of Borussia Dortmund starlet Erling.
Retweeting the video, Neville said, “I was lucky enough to join punditry’s best double act… I think we’re done @ carra23.”
Carragher replied, “Show some FFS combat! On the way to Wembley! Let’s see them on a Friday night in Norwich on the balloon field !! ”
Whatever you do, don’t call Keane and Richards a double act, however.
Speaking about life as an expert, Keane said, “We are very lucky, Micah. Even the stuff that we do with television, people are desperate to get into it.
“A little bit of TV work, or whatever, punditry, and there are more and more players who retire each year who want to get into it.
“You have to stay one step ahead or you will be left behind, left behind and me!”
“You’ll be fine, you’re a brand now.”
Richards said, “We are a brand. Double problem.
Keane replied, “Less of us. We’re not Ant and Dec. Look, I do my own thing and you do your own thing.
