Jack’s employee drove a van into the Pinson restaurant

PINSON, Alabama (WIAT) – An employee at Jack’s Restaurant has been hospitalized after driving his van through Pinson Institution.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, MPs were called to Jack’s Restaurant on the 2800 block of Pinson Valley Parkway in Pinson just after 5 a.m. Friday to investigate reports that a car crashed into the building.

Upon arrival, MPs discovered that a 29-year-old employee had driven their van past the restaurant. The driver was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

There were other employees inside the restaurant at the time of the accident, but no other injuries were reported. No customers were inside the building at the time.

No other information has yet been communicated. The accident is under investigation.
