Jack Wilshere joked that Harry Kane’s recent drop in form didn’t concern him as he’s an Arsenal fan – but insists the Tottenham striker won’t be long in scoring again.
Kane has yet to score a Premier League goal this season and was disappointing in England’s 1-1 draw with Hungary on Tuesday.
The Three Lions captain was keen to leave Tottenham over the summer with Manchester City looking for the most likely destination, but a deal never came to fruition.
There have been allegations that Kane lost his focus and motivation after being effectively ruled out from Spurs by President Daniel Levy.
However, former Arsenal midfielder Wilshere – who currently trains with the Gunners – is confident Kane will return to score for his former club’s big rivals in no time.
He also claimed that his former England teammate was one of the best strikers in the world, putting aside his rivalry in north London.
When asked if he was worried about Kane not scoring, Wilshere told talkSPORT: “It’s not about me, no I’m an Arsenal fan!
“Look, Harry is one of the best strikers in the world. When you think of the best forwards in the world: [Robert] Lewandowski, [Karim] Benzema, Harry Kane. Scorers.

“Harry scores goals, he’s always scored goals. He can get hungry from time to time, but he always comes back.
“He’s a player who is technically so good in front of goal, with his left foot, his right foot.
“Tottenham have had a tough time as well so sometimes it’s tough for a forward when chances are not being created.
“But Harry is a top player, he’s been the best player for years and he will come back.
“He will come back strong in club and country and he will score goals. Wherever he is he scores goals, that’s exactly the type of player he is.
