‘I’ve never seen this before’ – Tyson Fury’s mind games saw him kiss Sefer Seferi before winning KO as he prepared for Deontay Wilder’s first fight

Imagine not only losing to Tyson Fury, but getting a kiss from him before the punches he delivers.

That’s what happened to Sefer Seferi in June 2018 when the Gypsy King began his climb to the top of the heavyweight mountain.

Fury proved he still had it with his comeback fight in 2017

Fury was emerging from a nearly two-year layoff as his battle with depression led to a dark alley of drugs and alcohol that landed him in suspensions and significant weight gain.

After linking up with trainer Ben Davison, Fury lost three rocks very quickly and was able to return to training and return to the ring. His first test was against the Albanian and he passed it with flying colors.

Before Fury forced Seferi out in the fourth round, the 33-year-old embraced his opponent as the pair met in the middle of the ring.

And it turned out to be the kiss of death as Fury fought his way past the 23-1 fighter.

He had another tune-up fight, against Francesco Pianeta in August before turning to Deontay Wilder in December.

He has since managed to win the WBC heavyweight title from Wilder and soundly defeat the American in a trilogy.

Next up for Fury is Dillian Whyte and it’s safe to say there won’t be a kiss before that one.

A nice kiss from Fury

Fury and Whyte have a huge national showdown on April 23 at Wembley Stadium where promoter Frank Warren is hoping to pack 100,000 people into the hall.

The bad blood between Whyte and Fury has been building for years and it has only gotten worse with the lack of cooperation between the two parties regarding the promotion.

Whyte declined to appear at the press conference which announced the fight and talkSPORT was told he would not participate in any media or promotion leading up to fight week.

When the pair finally stand face to face in north London, the last thing on Fury’s mind is likely to be a kiss.
