‘It’s bad, it’s bad’: Supervisory teens say students used object to sodomize teammate, sharing video online – WCCO

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – WCCO has uncovered disturbing new details about why a high school in Minnesota canceled its football season.

Proctor principals and police won’t discuss details, but several students told WCCO about a locker room assault and the video that spread on social media.

“Everyone is just super stressed. It’s just difficult, ”Phoenix Koski told us.

Courtesy of her tutor, Koski, an elder at Proctor High School, told us about the past two weeks.

A senior year that she was looking forward to after so many changes from the pandemic of the previous two years.

“It’s bad, it’s bad,” she said.

Now no football season after what Koski says he saw posted on social media.

Several students told us that two soccer players were holding another player while a third older teammate used an object to sodomize this player who was kept on the ground.

“I think it was disgusting. Really disgusting, ”said fellow high school student Tony Villebrun.

Students told us it took days for school officials to find out as videos and images circulated among classmates on Snapchat.

“I think the guy who did it should definitely be punished for what he did,” said Jayce Grover, a senior.

As the public awaits the findings of a police investigation, we were told the students in the video had not been seen in class since principals found out.

There was also a demonstration of support for the victim.

“I think Proctor has a bunch of great kids, and it’s not fair to put everyone together on his actions,” Grover said.

“I don’t think they should have taken everyone’s football season away, given the rest of the kids a chance… they weren’t part of it,” Koski said.

We checked again on Friday and the school board, superintendent and police are still not speaking publicly about what happened. All cite privacy laws for their decisions to remain silent.

We also contacted the St. Louis County District Attorney’s Office. A spokesperson said they were awaiting the results of the police investigation before deciding to lay possible criminal charges.
