‘It’s a first’: Autauga County deputies ‘arrest’ goats after breaking into church

AUTAUGA COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) – The Autauga County Sheriff’s Office arrested two goats Thursday after the animals broke into a church.

In a Facebook post, the ACSO said it was “a first” for the department. Authorities were dispatched to Bethesda Church near County Road 33 and found the building’s glass front door shattered.

At first the deputies thought it was a burglary but after a quick search of the premises they discovered two goats in the kitchen area.

The owner of the church was informed of the existence of the goats and they were then wrestled with and taken home without further incident.
