Ending the pervasive and persistent plastic pollution that is suffocating the Mediterranean and having devastating effects on our beaches and human health: this is the ambitious goal of a law recently passed in Italy. The “Salva mare” law, the Italian for “Save the sea”: a text approved by the Italian Senate and which attacks a scourge which particularly affects the Mediterranean, the most polluted sea in the world.
