Israeli forces advance in Rafah; Health Ministry says Gaza hospital system will collapse in hours

Israeli forces are advancing toward the southern town of Rafah, aiming to destroy what Israeli officials have called the last major Hamas stronghold in Gaza, just as Israel and the militant group clash again in areas of the north. The Gaza Health Ministry said on Monday that the Gaza Strip’s health system would collapse within “hours” due to a lack of fuel needed to power generators and ambulances, following similar warnings from humanitarian agencies last week.
