There isn’t a “Thursday Night Football” game in Week 17, so you’ll have to find a socially distant New Years party where everyone is wearing masks to occupy your time instead.
As with week 16, the absence of TNF at week 17 is intentional. The NFL had two Thursdays earlier in the 2020 season that were game-free due to the COVID-19 postponement, but that was not the case in the last week of the season. The NFL is kicking off with simultaneous starts for postseason races to wrap up the regular season, so there’s no game three days earlier on Thursday.
There won’t be a Monday night game in Week 17 either, with all 32 teams in action on Sunday. You’ll have to wait until the 2021 season opens to watch another NFL game on a Thursday.
Below you’ll find everything you need to know about the rest of the NFL Week 17 schedule, including launch times and TV channels.

Is there a Thursday night football game tonight?
There is no “Thursday night football” game on Thursday night, December 31st. Your New Years Eve will be devoted to an activity other than NFL football.
The schedule is established as such by design. The league doesn’t want its final week of the regular season to have some bizarre pros / cons, and two teams playing on a short three-day break before everyone can present some of the two.
