Iran threatens to launch terrorists against Israel, says multi-front war ‘inevitable’ | World | News

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warned Israel that it was “inevitable” that Iran’s proxies in the region would soon intervene in the war with Hamas, he said during an interview at the start of the week.

Amir-Abdollahian said in his interview with Iranian state television on Monday: “Time is running out very quickly. If the war crimes against the Palestinians are not immediately stopped, more multiple fronts will open, which is inevitable. »

The Iranian official met with terrorist leaders from across the region on Monday, speaking with Hamas’ top politician Ismail Haniyeh in Qatar and Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Beirut.

Amir-Abdollahian said in the interview that this “resistance” had “their hands on the trigger.”

He said “preventive action” was possible “in the coming hours” because he “naturally would not allow the Zionist regime to do whatever it wants in Gaza.”

Echoing his sentiment, the Islamic Republic of Iran embassy in Syria tweeted Tuesday evening: “Time is up.”

These two worrying warnings come after the bombing of a hospital in Gaza City, immediately blamed on an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) strike.

But the IDF claimed that Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) – a terrorist group operating in the Gaza Strip – caused the explosion by misfiring a rocket.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry wrote in an official statement: “On October 17, around 7 p.m., the PIJ fired a salvo of missiles towards Israel. »

The statement continued: “One of the missiles misfired and landed on al-Ahli hospital in Gaza, causing serious damage, killing at least several Palestinians and injuring many others. »

The Israeli military also released a recording as evidence from what it considers Hamas terrorists, acknowledging that the explosion was caused by a PIJ rocket that misfired.

Claims that the Israeli military targeted the hospital sparked outrage across the Middle East, with anti-Israel protests erupting across the region.
