In this Indian Premier League, Virat Kohli has struggled for runs and is enjoying his worst season with the bat since his first appearance in the money-rich league in 2008. Former Indian cricketer Laxman Sivaramakrishnan has opened up on form of Kohli and said he is putting pressure on himself.
Virat KohliKohli’s form has been an ongoing debate for a long time and he doesn’t seem to be dying down as he failed to score any big points in IPL 2022. Fans and pundits believed Kohli would do well this season as he left the position of captain of RCB and this would allow him to play freely. However, that hasn’t been the case as the star hitter has constantly struggled for points in this year’s IPL and it’s not getting easy for him.
Former Indian cricketer turned commentator Laxman Sivaramakrishnan has spoken about Virat Kohli’s form. Sivaramakrishnan is of the opinion that Kohli puts too much pressure on himself.
“When you hit big things, you put extra pressure on yourself. If you’re a bowler, you want to take a wicket with every ball you bowl. Likewise, as a batsman, you want to score a hundred every time you bowl. you go out to beat Kohli should set small goals, take it 10 by 10 Go from 0 to 10 then aim to go from 10 to 20, 20 to 30 and so on Kohli is an extremely fit player Once you’re fit physically, you’re fit mentally It’s only a shot away,” Laxman Sivaramakrishnan said in an interview with News 18 Cricketnext.
In the 9 games Kohli has played so far, the right-handed hitter has only managed to score 128 runs. It will be important for Kohli to find his form as IPL 2022 heads towards the commercial end.
