Yuvraj Singh felt that Virat Kohli needed to become a fluid personality again to regain his touch in the current IPL season. Kohli is going through the worst phase of his career with just 128 runs in nine matches and hasn’t scored 100 in international cricket in the past two years.
Virat Kohli is currently going through the worst phase of his career as he struggles to score points. It took two years for spectators to see Virat Kohli score a hundred in international cricket. His slump in form is also reflected in the IPL 2022 and Kohli managed just 128 points from nine matches to 16 and a strike rate of 119.63. He lasted just 10 balls in the last game and also scored two gold ducks in the current IPL season.
Thinking about the form of Kohli, Yuvraj Singh said he needed to become a fluid personality again to get back to scoring points.
“Virat needs to become a fluid personality again. If he can change up and look like he was earlier, that will reflect in his game. He’s proven himself to be the best of that era and believes in a strong work ethic and that brought out the best of him over the years,” Yuvraj said on Sports18’s Home of Heroes show.
“Obviously he’s not happy either, and people aren’t either, because we’ve seen him set bigger benchmarks, score hundreds after hundreds. But that happens to the best players.”
Kohli was expected to excel without the burden of captaincy on his shoulders. However, he is not at his best but the captain of the RCB FAF DuPlessis supported him to make a strong comeback.
