Indian drummer Shreyas Iyer said his heart beats watching different franchises bid for him in the IPL 2022 mega auction. Shreyas Iyer was chosen by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 12.25 Crore and will lead the team for the upcoming season in search of title winning in IPL.

The IPL 2022 Mega Auction has ended and teams have purchased various players at auction for the upcoming season. Shreyas Iyer is currently in sublime form in the T20Is and was also a hot prospect in the auction. His composure and shot selection in the crease help him play important shots. Shreyas was chosen by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for Rs 12.25 crore in the auction and will lead the franchise in the upcoming season. Shreyas Iyer recently revealed that his heart was racing while watching the mega auction for the upcoming auction.

“Yeah, I was watching the auction and KKR went for me from the start. There were also other big franchises coming in and I remember the battle was going on. We all of our team (Indian ) were sitting together and watching the auction on TV. My heart was pounding, and I wasn’t able to control my emotions. I was trying to act relaxed, but you know, and ar hi and ar se “I was feeling a little nervous. Finally KKR got me, that feeling was amazing. I’m really proud, considering the rich history and getting into KKR’s setup,” he told KKR.in.

KKR has won two titles so far in the history of the tournament. The team will be looking forward to winning the trophy again under Shreyas’ leadership. Shreyas said his main goal will be to create a winning mindset in the team.

“You know, for me, being part of the KKR family is a huge feeling. I really want to appreciate the work that has been done by all the great players in the past and I would like to follow in the same footsteps, which they created for KKR: Personally, I feel like I’m the captain of a player and I want to create an atmosphere where we all think about one goal, which is to win,” he said.
