Nick Knight has praised Jos Buttler for his fantastic run in the ongoing 2022 Indian Premier League. Knight felt that Buttler forgets the success of his previous game every time he steps onto the pitch in the current edition, where he has already reached three hundred and as many half centuries.
Joe Buttler benefited from its most impactful campaign of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. In nine outings for Rajasthani Royals (RR), the Englishman has already accumulated 566 races at an average of 70.75. He hit three hundred and three fifty, and his strike rate of 155.07 is equally impressive.
Former England cricketer turned commentator Nick Knight has praised Buttler for his consistency in the IPL 2022. Knight also shared his thoughts on Buttler’s mindset which is helping him continue his good work. The former cricketer believes Buttler always starts over every time he steps onto the pitch to complete a challenge.
“What impressed me enormously about Jos Buttler was the way he started each inning. I mean, if we look at the result of his innings, it’s mainly the 50s or the 100s, he ( look) in a different gear. (But) He tends to forget what he did in the previous game and start over. (He) hasn’t taken his form for granted at all. He gives himself a few balls to come in and then play those big shots,” Knight said on ‘Cricket Live’ on Star Sports.
Buttler will next play for RR against Kolkata Knight Riders on Monday in the IPL 2022 Game 47 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He hit 103 out of 61 last time out when they faced off in match 30 of the IPL 2022 at Brabourne Stadium. RR, after going 217/5, limited KKR to 210 in this contest to record a narrow seven-point win.
