Delhi Capitals dominated with both bat and ball in the match against Sunrosers Hyderabad to win by 21 runs and keep their IPL 2022 playoff hopes alive. DC fast bowler Anrich Nortje, who was only playing the second game of the season, talked about the feeling he got after taking the field.
The Delhi Capitals were brilliant against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in all departments of the game as they won the game by 21 points. David Warner and Rovman Powell set the stage for their team after they were asked to strike first. Warner scored 92 during the game and Powell scored 67 which helped them to 207/3. During the second half of the game, DC was in the lead again sending SRH openers Kane Williamson and Abhishek Sharma back to the pavilion early.
DC pacer Anrich Nortje was the man behind Kane Williamson’s wicket as he fired him for 4. he had been recovering since January. Nortje said after the game: “Just a relief to be on the pitch to be honest. It’s good to play again, it’s good to be on the pace. It’s just nice to play again. You have to be kind of realistic (about injuries and recovery). I’ve been playing a game for a while and bowling in the net. Going out to play a game is completely different.”
“Since the last game, it’s been good to build it up, to try and remember what I did at certain stages, how I felt, certain angles. I’m a pretty basic guy, so it getting those basics right is very important to me so since the last game I was working a lot on pace and now I have to focus on a bit of skill but it was nice to be back and feel like myself -even in a way,” he said while speaking to Star Sports.
