IPL 2022, CSK vs. DC | Twitter reacts to Anrich Nortje’s celebration after sacking Ruturaj Gaikwad
They say T20 cricket is cruel to the bowlers because the margin of error for them is really thin and in most games because the batsmen dominate. But, during the game between CSK and DC, Anrich Nortje was thrilled after picking up Ruturaj Gaikwad who crushed him for a boundary on the previous ball.
Chennai Super Kings took on Delhi Capitals in the 55th game of the Indian Premier League 2022. After winning the toss, the Delhi Capitals skipper Rishab Panting chose to play against MS Dhoni‘s CSK. Pant’s decision to go bowling backfired as CSK openers Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway were in excellent form from the first ball of the game. Devon Conway with his elegant stroke game crushed the Delhi bowlers all around the floor as he took on them. He was well supported by Ruturaj Gaikwad as the two set up a century-old stand for the first wicket.
Ruturaj Gaikwad played the supporting role while Devon Conway crushed the bowlers. But, Gaikwad did not miss any opportunity and struck well. The right-handed batter on the fourth pitch of the tenth pitched by Anrich Nortje played a superb cut for four. Following this, the South African pacer delivered the next ball at 152.6 km/h which was short and climbed over Gaikwad. The CSK hitter couldn’t control his shot and ended up giving a single strike to Axar Patel who stood in the middle of the wicket. Nortje was pumped as he celebrated the wicket.
