Chennai Super Kings hitter Ambati Rayudu has announced he will be retiring after IPL 2022. The right-handed hitter has been a mainstay in their batting formation, however, moments after announcing his retirement , the star hitter deleted his tweet and it is not visible on his account.

Chennai Super Kings senior hitter Ambati Rayudu announced that he would be retiring from the IPL after the 2022 season. Ambati Rayudu took to his social media accounts to make the announcement. The 36-year-old Hyderabad batter has been a mainstay in the Chennai Super Kings batting roster for quite some time. He also helped the team win crucial matches with his performances. The right-handed hitter has also won the IPL title with the Chennai-based franchise on several occasions.

However, in an interesting twist of events, Ambati Rayudu after making the announcement deleted the tweet from his social media account.

Ambati Rayudu during his IPL career played 187 games and scored 4,187 points over the years with an average of 29.28 and a strike rate of 127.26 in the cash-rich league. This year at IPL 2022, Ambati Rayudu has so far scored 271 runs and at a strike rate of 124. The hitter in previous IPL seasons has also played for the Bombay Indians and performed very well for them during his tenure with the five-time IPL Champions.
