IOC calls for Russian and Belarusian athletes to be banned from events

After further discussions on Monday, the IOC Executive Board issued a detailed statement recommending federations and event organizers “not to invite or allow the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes and officials in international competitions” in order to to “protect the integrity of global sports competitions and for the safety of all participants”.
