TechCrunch is known for its Pitch-Offs. We’ve had them in cities around the world and heard from hundreds of startups who have shared their business stories on our stages.
We’re excited to bring the Pitch-Off to Extra Crunch Live.
Anyone in the audience of an Extra Crunch Live episode can virtually “ raise their hand ” to be selected to perform in front of the audience and get feedback from our star guests.
On ECL, launched startups will have two minutes to tell us about their business. It’s the equivalent of an elevator pitch – imagine meeting a VC or potential customer at a tech conference like Disrupt or bumping into him in a park. As such, no visual aids are allowed, including decks, videos, demos, etc.
Basically, what can you convey in your words, in a short period of time, to get people to understand your startup and get excited about it?
It’s a core skill, and we’re creating a space for founders to train and improve.
This week I look forward to having Rick Heitzmann of FirstMark and founder of Orchard Court Cunningham as guests on Extra Crunch Live. This founder / investor duo knows exactly what it takes to deliver a good pitch. Do you have what it takes? You can register here for free!
To be selected for the pitch-off, you must be present in the audience during the live show. Instructions for raising your hand will come at the top of the show, so don’t be late!
See you on Wednesday!
