Indiana students to perform canceled play with LGBTQ+ characters

After school administrators reportedly canceled the spring play at Carroll High School amidst Fort Wayne, Indiana, complaints from community members about its LGBTQ+ personas, a group of students decided to produce the play independently, raising more than $80,000 to support the production, which runs this Saturday.

The school district, in a written statement, denied the allegation, saying it made the decision with the children’s experience and safety in mind.
