CHICAGO (CBS) – Adult-student misconduct at the Marine Leadership Academy, including a case in which an adult had sex with a student, led Chicago public schools to lay off 10 employees.
The action comes after the release of an Inspector General’s report detailing the school’s problems, 1920 N Hamlin Ave.

The report found that 12 employees were involved in the misconduct and 10 were laid off or on the verge of losing their jobs.
The report revealed inappropriate relations between staff and students. In one case, an employee treated the student and began sex after graduation.

An employee sexually harassed a student.
Six workers did not report what they knew and covered up the misconduct, the report said.
The Marine Leadership Academy is affiliated with the United States Marine Corps JROTC program.
