INAI will present constitutional controversy before AMLO’s veto to commissioners

After the veto presented by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador (AMLO) to the commissioners of the National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI), the organism file a constitutional controversy.

This was proposed during an extraordinary session of the INAI Plenary due to the lack of appointment of commissioners from April 2022.
In the vote, the five commissioners voted in favor of the presentation of the measure before the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), since the absence of appointments can generate violations to the operation of the INAI, as they explained.
