Since the start of his strike, Monday April 12, the navigator Eugène Riguidel has lost 8 kg. At 80, he is followed every other day by his doctor. “The general assessment remains good, but he was, two days ago, in hypoglycemia. This should not go on beyond this week. After… ”, says Dr Jean Le Rouzic. A solution could emerge this Thursday, on the side of the Morbihan prefecture. This is where the mayor of Landaul, Dominique Ollivier-Frankel, the deputy of Morbihan, Jimmy Pahun, a representative of Orange, the operator who aims to build the antenna in Landaul, and a newcomer must meet: Jérôme Angé, representative of the company Toweo. “What we are proposing are telecommunications infrastructures integrated into the environment, which often take the form of trees. Our pylons can accommodate several operators, which makes it possible not to multiply the antennas ”.

“Another site, with sufficient coverage”
Above all, the general manager of Toweo, is convinced that another site can be selected. “We spoke with the owner of a quarry, who had already been contacted during the study. He agrees to host the antenna, away from the town and the hamlet ”. Unlike Orange, Jérôme Angé thinks that the proposed mobile coverage would be “largely sufficient”. More expensive (200,000 euros compared to 50,000 euros for a “classic” pylon), Toweo’s proposal can bring together several operators… who are added to it for hire. If it were chosen, would the solution make it possible to put an end to Eugène Riguidel’s strike? “If the relay antenna is not installed in the bowl, yes … But this will only be the beginning of my fight against the mesh of relay antennas”, launches Eugene.
