Key context
iMessage outages are traditionally resolved by Apple shortly after they begin. A 2022 iMessage and FaceTime outage affected thousands of users but was resolved by Apple in about 30 minutes, The Verge reported. In February, a nationwide cellular network outage affected AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile customers, forcing AT&T to restore about three-quarters of its network after the outage lasted about 7 hours. Spokespeople for T-Mobile and Verizon told Forbes that their networks were operating normally during the outage, but that some customers experienced issues when “calling or texting with customers served by another carrier.” .
