Dust off your goggles, lather up some sunscreen, and pack your beach bag, because summer in Illinois is almost here. And with it brings water parks big and small.
According to a press release, Raging Waves, Illinois’ largest water park, will open for the season on June 4.
The 58-acre water park features 32 waterslides, a wave pool, a sand playground, three kiddie pools, a lazy river, 43 private cabanas, a six-lane waterslide and more, the statement said.
The park, at 4000 N. Bridge St. is located in Yorkville, west of Chicago, in Kendall County. Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 5 p.m. on select weekdays.
The closing weekend, from September 3 to 5, the hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
All day tickets start at $44.99 or $29.99 if you select a date in advance.
Parking is not included in the daily ticket price and starts at $10. Locker rentals start at $12 and cabanas at $200. Only transparent or mesh bags are allowed in the park, as well as diaper bags and small soft coolers.
No outside food or drink is permitted. Customers are allowed to bring one empty water bottle and two factory sealed water bottles.
