‘I’ll be back’ – Isaac Chamberlain reveals brutal injuries, including broken orbital bone, after loss to Chris Billam-Smith

Isaac Chamberlain may not have beaten Chris Billam-Smith on Saturday night, but he has battle scars to show for his immense efforts.

The pair headlined a show in Bournemouth and it was an epic encounter as both men dropped it all in the ring in a battle for the Commonwealth and European heavyweight titles.

It was only the second loss of Chamberlain’s career with the first against WBO world champion Lawrence Okolie

It was a hard-fought affair and Chamberlain enjoyed his fair share of success, but it was Billam-Smith who emerged victorious by unanimous decision.

After the fight, Chamberlain took to Twitter to post the fact that he broke his orbital bone in the third round, but he still fought until the end of the contest.

“I broke my orbital bone in the third round and fought it all the way,” Chamberlain revealed. “Are you really ready to die for this?” I was made for this, I will come back.

Shortly after, Chamberlain also took to his Instagram story to show the extent of his injuries in hospital, with the caption “Battle scars”.

As for what’s next for the Brixton-based boxer, he’ll be out for quite some time with such a serious injury.

But, when he returns, there are plenty of options for him on the national heavyweight scene.

Whether it’s Mikael Lawal, Deion Jumah, Jack Massey or one of the many other options remains to be seen.

As for Billam-Smith, it looks like he’s ready to rise above the national stage, although he may want to avenge the only loss of his career to date to fellow Briton Richard Riakporhe. .
