Ilhame Maaroufi appointed CEO of Réalités Afrique

Established in Morocco since 2018, Réalités is strengthening its governance with the appointment of Ilhame Maaroufi as Managing Director of Réalités Afrique.

The Group also appointed Rachid Bennani in June 2021 as Managing Director of Realities Maitrise D’ouvrage Maroc.

The Group is thus continuing to structure its general management in the Kingdom around a 100% local team and thus demonstrates its desire to strengthen parity and individual and collective expertise, in a context marked by the acceleration of its investments in the Kingdom. .

“Joining the Réalités group is a natural continuation after ten years in regional planning. I discovered the stakes of the territory in Zenata and I became aware of the driving role of urban planning in the transformation of our continents. Eco-designed cities are the space where everything becomes possible. Today, joining a territorial developer allows me to continue to work for the interests of the territories, for a harmonious and inclusive territorial development” underlines Ilhame Maaroufi.

A graduate of IAE Toulouse in accounting and finance, Ilhame Maaroufi holds a diploma in chartered accountancy and auditing. She began her career in France, first at EY in the International business services department and then at KPMG in the Consulting and Audit department.

In Morocco, for 10 years she held the position of Finance, Support and Resources Director of the Société d’Aménagement Zenata (Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion Group) in charge of the development of the Eco-Cité Zenata (1st African city certified Eco-City Label).

Ilhame Maaroufi reinforced the development of the Eco-Cité there by raising funding of 300 million euros from the French Development Agency and the European Investment Bank, thanks in particular to the establishment of a slum resettlement plan to World Bank standards. Within the developer, she also worked on the structuring of partnerships for a regional health center with the Saudi German Hospital group and the development of an education offer with national and international operators.

Her experience in finance and regional planning led her to be selected among the 20 Young leaders of the Africa France foundation in 2017, which aims to develop a virtuous relationship between France and Africa.
