IAG multiplies its profits by more than ten times until September, with 2,151 million

Madrid, Oct 27 (EFECOM).- International Airlines Group (IAG), made up of British Airways (BA), Iberia, Vueling, Aer Lingus and Level, multiplied its profits by more than ten in the first nine months of the year to 2,151 million euros compared to the same period in 2022, after a “record” third quarter for the group.

Total revenues amounted to 22,229 million euros, which represents an increase of 33.3%, while the operating result exceeded 3,000 million euros, almost four times more than a year ago, with increases in all the airlines of the group compared to 2022 and surpassing Iberia and Vueling’s pre-pandemic figures.

According to the information sent to the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV), IAG expects that total capacity in 2023 will be around 96% of pre-covid-19 levels and although it maintains a good level of advance reservations for the last quarter, remains aware of the macroeconomic and geopolitical uncertainties that could affect the remainder of the year.
